Abortion is often described as a woman's healthcare service. If that is indeed true then abortion clinics should be required to have the same sanitary standards, the same health and safety requirements required of any other healthcare provider. In abortion clinics women are recieving obstetrical and gynecological exams and treatments, in other words, invasive medical procedures. Sterile and sanitary equipment and utensils, as well as, sterile and sanitary examination and surgical bays are necessary for the services in an abortion clinic to be appropriately descrbed as healthcare services.
