"A rose by any other name is still a rose", and "acupuncture" masquerading as "dry needling" is most assuredly acupuncture!". PTs know this all too well. Fact is, they are attempting to gather themselves nationwide hoping their numbers will be strong enough to "get away" with this obviously illegal ploy to make up a title called "dry needling" so the Acupuncture Board doesn't take legal action against them for practicing acupuncture without proper training and a license!
Of course acupuncture is effective and that is why PTs want to use it. "Dry needling" is just a made up title for "acupuncture" which is most assuredly effective. Knowing this, PTs thought, well now, let's make up a title, don't let the patient know the truth, we'll have them believing that we invented a brand new technique for relieving pain . . . and we will look great and line our pockets with gold while we're at it!
PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW POLITICAL AGENDAS AND LOBBYING TO DECIDE THIS ONE! INTEGRITY AND JUSTICE MUST PREVAIL HERE. ACUPUNCTURISTS SHOULD PRACTICE WHAT THEY HAVE BEEN TRAINED TO PRACTICE AND PTs SHOULD FOLLOW SUIT!!!
