I support the proposed revisions to the VA Voter Registration form
I am a citizen, retired Naval Veteran, and voter in Virginia, and I support the Department of Election and the State Board of Elections for their proposed revisions to Virginia's Voter Registration form.
Qualified voters should not be disenfranchised because of technical issues with the voter registration form. The proposed changes are an important step to addressing this problem. Voter disenfranchisement is a FAR bigger problem than voter fraud, which rarely actually happens. Ensuring all legally eligible citizens can vote should be the priority here. The proposed changes are clearly in line with the Virginia Constitution.
I strongly support the proposed changes and hope members of the State Board of Elections will ratify them following the public comment period.
