I oppose allowing DA II 's to scale patients' teeth.  The proper training is not included in the education of a DA II.  The job of a DA II is very important to dental patients, but does not include prevention of oral diseases through scaling and root planing.  This would not be fair to the dental patient, RDH or DA II.
