Action | Regulations for Licensure of Abortion Facilities |
Stage | Proposed |
Comment Period | Ended on 3/29/2013 |
Laws that target only abortion providers have nothing to do with the safe delivery of services for women and everything to do with legislators’ efforts to restrict access to reproductive healthcare. Women’s health centers that provide a full range of comprehensive health care services could close because of an inability to meet regulations that have nothing to do with women’s health and safety.
If you want to decrease the number of abortions, how about funding better sex education and preventive measures to increase women's choices and availability, rather than sticking your head in the sand and thinking it's the because of the availability of the service? The care and thought put into such a life-altering and terrifying decision doesn't have anything to do with proximity of service, and everything to do with the health and well being of both the woman and fetus. Stop binding us and start trusting us.
