The wording under Heading B in section 6VAC20-160-40 is unclear in regards to programs supervising CHINS cases. It is my understanding that this actually means that a Staff member is not to supervise those type of cases within a personal context but it does not clearly state this as I read the policy. It appears to read that CASA program employess shall not concurrently supervise CHINS, juvenile offender cases for the courts or other child servicing agencies. We often are appointed to CHINS and supervise those cases quite often. Thank you.
