As a resident and taxpayer of Virginia I'm writing to state my opposition to the proposed regulations on women's clinics. These regulations would force the closure of Planned Parenthood regulations throughout the state---a backhanded way of eliminating abortion.
Backhanded politics are unacceptable, and especially at the cost of the numerous reproductive services that will be lost. My own mother learned she was pregnant with me at a Planne Parenthood clinic and received care for me there. My sister, now pregnant, is receiving care from Planned Parenthood throughout her pregnancy. I know numerous women who receive birth control and vital health checks at PP offices because they do not have insurance. Cutting these locations as a way to make abortion illegal is deeply wrong. If that is a battle legislators wish to fight, then fight it---don't go through a back door that harms Virginia's women.
