My name is Jennifer and I have been through many programs and recovery residences and the ONLY one that has worked for me has been Oxford House. I’ve learned so much about myself and my recovery being here. The way our houses operate in a self governing way is paramount to our success and community. I support rules that keep people safe, but rules that require staff or assume every home is a commercial business would keep Oxford Houses from operating in Virginia, even though research shows our model gets the best results. Please change those rules, and please clarify whether house members are considered the operator.
