I strongly oppose this. Athletic trainers would need the Masters or Doctorate level hours and training to handle needling anatomy safely (like Acupuncturists, and Physicians), to prevent things like collapsed lung or nerve damage that are commonly seen with inadequate training and dry needling done by those who do not attend enough training for needling. Anything less than 3,000 hours of dry needling or acupuncture training is not enough for public safety.
