The health of menhaden is intimately tied to the overall health of the Bay.  I read the book 'The Most Important Fish in the Sea' many years ago, and it describes in great detail how the over-fishing of medhaden has led to so many losses.  Highly recommend reading it.  Please, please, protect this fish.  I live on the water on the Lafayette River, and see so much of the wildlife that depends on this.  And, of course, our fishing and tourist economy are at stake also.
