Do Not Criminalize Kratom

Hello,

Please do more research into Kratom before you ban it. It is NOT a synthetic opioid like some uneducated doctor's say that it is. It is a plant that is a member of the Coffee and Tea plant family.

Kratom is what got me off of hard PRESCRIPTION drugs (namely Vicodin, Percocet, MS Contin (morphine sustained release tablets), Xanax, Tramadol, & Fentanyl). I have worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 6 years and it kills me that people are taking prescription medications that do more damage than good. Plants have been highly underestimated in this country and it's time to put some actual research into them instead of banning them because they're "scary" or "not well known".

Please do not ban this plant. It has helped many drug addicts get off of hardcore drugs such as Heroin, Ketamine, Oxycodone, Morphine, etc. If you ban this plant, you are taking away people's chances for recovery from drug addiction.

You all are basically doing what this country did when Marijuana was popping off. Please do not repeat that mistake.

Educate yourself. Talk to Kratom growers, herbalists, and herbologists. Get to know what this plant is all about before making any decisions concerning banning Kratom.

Don't prove the American people right about how the "government" operates....thru lies, cheating, and deception. Do the right thing.

That is all.
Thanks,
-Liz
