I understand that Omega Proteins is a Canadian company that is being allowed to scoop huge numbers of menhaden from the Chesapeake Bay. These fish are food for local ospreys and bigger fish, and are needed to maintain the bay ecosystem. The company has been responsible for large spills of dead fish on local beaches and doesn't clean up after the accidents. They should be limited in the fish they can take, and should be required to clean up after trashing the beaches with dead fish.
