There are already tens of thousands of happy, healthy adults who were raised by gay or lesbian parents.  These "normal" adult children of gays (please look around you, and while you're at it, take a look at the research that's been done) are the most persuasive argument against  nonsensical  adoption policies which discriminate based on sexual orientation.
