Speak out against the cycle of discrimination!

State-licensed adoption agencies should not be allowed to discriminate based on race, marital status, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, age, disability, religion, or political beliefs.

If Virginia stands by non-profits who support discriminatory policies, they are placing themselves and the entire foster-care and permanent adoption process in an ANTI-child and ANTI-family position.

Supporting policies that automatically discount willing, able, and committed individuals and families for any of the above reasons is simply unconscionable, especially given the large number of children who need permanent, stable homes. The science of economics clearly provides evidence that children who grow up in unstable homes, in and out of temporary care, will undoubtedly fare worse and cost our communities more in the long term.

Please make the right choice – the interest of the child should be the deciding factor in who is allowed to become a foster or adoptive parent. Discrimination in the foster and adoptive process is wrong, and will rob our society's most vulnerable children of potential loving parents and families.
