I have been a Virginia resident for over 50 years and am very concerned that our state does not monitor and enforce laws governing the sale of live animals in our pet stores.  I have always had pets (dogs and cats) and get them from our local shelters or rescue organizations.  This must be addressed.  It is our responsibility as caring people to protect those.  that cannot protect themselves.  Thank you, Jeanette Stewart
