Cats and Dogs for sale in pet stores

Please vote for stronger regulations for pet stores that sell cats and dogs. These for profit businesses, which usually exacerbate the animal overcrowding and overpopulation crisis by selling purpose based bred mill sourced animals, are subject to only a local animal control agency, usually over a complaint.  The proposed regulations are not meaningful enough to protect the cats and dogs sold in pet stores. Please amend the proposed regulations to require stronger standards of care in pet stores and stronger penalties for animal welfare violations. Thank you.
