Good evening - 

Thank you for the opportunity to comment on this very important topic.  In short, I recommend a complete repeal of Regulations for the Immunization of School Children,  and specifically to remove any and all requirements for a school immunization schedule.  My position is based on the following:

1) Informed consent cannot occur unless full information on all potential risks and benefits is presented to the individual.  Without full information presented, people cannot make good and informed decisions.  Informed consent in the current system doesn't really exist in any honest sense, it exists in name only.  People are not being provided full information as is their right according to human rights organizations, medical societies, Virginia regulation, patient bills of rights, and the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights.  The current system fails to meet this requirement.

2) The decision to accept an injection, or any other medical intervention, should be made by the individual or the parent(s) in the case of a minor.  This is NOT a government decision.  The "one size fits all" mentality regarding products is flawed thinking and results in harm to people.  

3) The Virginia Dept. of Health VDH and Virginia Dept. of Education VDOE were directed by the 2020 General Assembly to report to the House of Committee on Health, Welfare and Institutions and the Senate Committee on Education and Health on the effectiveness of the required vaccination program in promoting public health.  The report failed to provide any meaningful information regarding correlating high vaccination rates with positive health outcomes.  Why is that?  The focus of any medical intervention should be health outcomes.  Although it might be unpopular, it's a truth that vaccinations have ample history of a variety of negative reactions up to and including death.   Medical decisions need to be made by the individual or parent, not the govt.  

4)  The right to a medical exemption must be protected and regulations strengthened to protect an individual's right to a medical exemption.

5) The state should not require vaccines for children taught at home.  Requiring vaccinations for home schoolers is an overreach of the state's authority and an infringement on parental rights.

6) The Covid-19 injections should not be added to the vaccine schedule.  These injections are not truly vaccines.  Vaccines by definition stop infection and transmission - but these fail on both counts (p/CDC).  So what sense does it make to consider requiring injections that would result in increased infections and transmission to others?  Clearly it doesn't.  And again the issue of informed consent is violated as the current manufacturer product inserts are blank!  

The last 2-3 years have provided non-stop feedback on decisions made in response to the outbreak.  What have we learned?  Lots of things if we've been listening.  And overwhelmingly the feedback says we got many, many things wrong.   

Repeal the regulations.  Eliminate the childhood schedule.
