Please do not do anything to change the way adoptions are handled in Virginia.  Faith-based adoptions have worked in the past and should be upheld.  I am concerned that removing faith-based adoptions may result in the mother not being able to have her own personally held belief systems guaranteed in the adopting couple.

I was adopted.  It is important to allow individuals of the same belief systems that you have to be able to adopt your child.  This change would negate that.

Please do not take this away from them.  Religious freedom is protected by the Constitution.
