Please strengthen and put teeth in the regulations pertaining to the care of animals sold in pet stores. Without penalties, pet stores will not comply with common sense requirements that are being advised for the care of puppies and kittens. They are routinely received from puppy mills and could possibly be ill, and the failure to comply with state regulations can mean lifetime problems or death.
