The children of Viriginia do not all come in the same package. As all educators know they sit on a continuum.By passing these regulations the high end of the continuum will be underserved and thus create an environment that will take on the appearance that those at the high end of the spectrum are not worth the state's support. So much time and effort has gone into defining this population of children and identifying their value to the school districts in Virginia. Gifted education should be fully supported to give a voice to the unique talents and skills gifted children bring to the educational setting. Please consider what these regulations will do to the future of Gifted education in the state of Viginia.
