All children deserve a loving family and a safe place to call home
All children deserve a loving family and a safe place to call home.
As a former foster youth, a mother, and an educator who has worked in group homes and schools I feel strongly that politics has no place when considering the needs of our most vulnerable children.
Adoption regulations should prevent discrimination based on race, color, national origin, religious affiliation, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability or political affiliation. All adoption organizations must be subject to these regulations.
If we truly care for these children then we should focus on what really matters in evaluating a potential adoptive or foster family - love and security.
