I SUPPORT the proposed amendment to 4VAC10-30-170!
When hiking in the forest it is imparitive that people have some means of self defense, not only against robbers, thugs, criminals, etc, but also against dogs, bears, and even in some cases deer. The lawful carriage of firearms is both effective and prudent. Such carry of firearms is allowed in state and national parks and national forests as well. The same should be true of Virginia forests.
Please enact the proposed amendment to 4VAC10-30-170, which allows for the otherwise lawful carry of firearms and ammunition in state forests! This amendment brings state forests into alignment with state parks, national parks, and national forests.
Strike a blow for freedom, support the second amendment.
thank you,
Ron Lilly
