Concealed Carry in parks/forests

I feel it should be looked upon as  a key individual safety standard that a law abiding citizen who has a concealed carry permit be allowed to carry a firearm for their own/family protection.  The greater strain now on local law enforcement agencies due to the current economic situation, only adds to the boldness of criminals.

Also, while some hand guns may not be the preferred protection against large animals, it can atleast give the possibility of protecting against an attack.  Some attacks could be deterred/avoided just from the noise of firing a gun and that means everyone wins.  It is wonderful to think one would never be put in the situation to protect themselves from an attack of any kind, predator or criminal but that's just not the world we live in.

It is not the law abiding citizen who has and is certified to carry a concealed weapon that we need most concern ourselves with.

Respectfully,

Cory Mason
