To whom it may concern: I am a 46 year old father of 2. I am a law abiding citizen and I urge you to pass the law that would allow authorized citizens to carry a firearm to protect themselves or families.

I recently viewed a program on NBC about a crazed killer that killed a husband and wife years ago in the shanandoah and then was paroled only to attack 2 friends camping & fishing. He shot and wounded both of them. Luckily they survived and were able to notify police and the killer was captured.

I will never take my family into our public land and put them at the mercy of crazy killers if I don't have a fair and equal chance to protect them thus limiting and wasting this public resource.
