The amendment to VA regulation 4VAC10-30-170 should be confirmed to allow concealed weapons permit holders to carry a handgun anywhere in state forests.  Registered permit holders have been proven not to be a threat to public safety.  To the contrary they are a deterrent to those with aggressive intent.  The concept that guns cause crime is absurd, criminal minds cause crime and laws that disarm the general public only serve to make it easier for lawbreakers to do whatever they want.
