Sirs,
I respectfully encourage you to enact this regulation to allow Concealed Weapon Permit holders to carry weapons within state parks and forests. As you know CWP holders have had full background checks conducted by the Virginia State Police, have completed an approved firearms safety course and represent citizens of the commonwealth exercising their right to bear arms. There is no special risk or issue within Virginia state parks or forests that would necessitate special prohibitions within their boundaries. Therefore, the prohibition is unnecessary and should be lifted.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment on this important regulation change.
