Thank you for considering the revision of the law which prevents a legally permited concealed handgun in our state forest.  We made a request for Senator Warner to review this years ago but he felt the timing was not right. My wife and I enjoy taking our grandkids for extended hikes and camping throughout the commonwealth.  We have at times met people whom we felt very unsafe during our walks and actually shortened our trip. (which we would have done with or without a weapon but would have been more protected during our retreat).  I also do not like leaving a weapon locked in a parking area where it could be easily stolen.   We feel strongly for the right  to protect our family at any cost.
