Loss of life could result from implementation of DMAS regs

The intent of these regulations is to provide consistent, quality care. Implementing them at this time, however, would be disastrous in terms of decreasing availability of beds and access to crisis care. We’ve been operating with inadequate resources for too long and Covid has amplified an already dangerous situation. The overall shortage of beds and shortage of RNs (as well as other healthcare providers) needs to be addressed and corrected before making the DMAS changes. I fear there will be further loss of life due to lack of access to beds and services.
