This is a perfectly good reason why we need to lobby for school choice. Our tax dollars should go to the school systems that more closely align with our beliefs, which is not the way it is now. We've lost the separation of church and state. My tax dollars are scarfed up by the Commonwealth and my county to run an education system totally outside my faith.
I see some comments here of those who want a vaccine mandate and some who do not. Wouldn't this be a lot simpler if we could direct our tax dollars to the schools that more closely correspond with our beliefs.
You can still let the State and counties run a school system, but only with the $$ of people who want their money going to that system. That would end a lot of this division going on. Just let us direct our tax dollars to the schools which align with our beliefs. This is the essence of the separation of church and state. Right now, the way things are run now, there is no separation.
