I am very concerned that this can afford anyone with a name and address a way to sign up to vote. The language that states that NOT being a citizen of the United States is not a material consideration to exclude someone the right to vote is complete anarchy. You can't do anything else without proper ID. Why would we let our right to vote as US citizens be passed out to anyone with a name and address. I would support language that clearly states the criminal penalties for lying or providing wrong information to be added to the form. This goes especially true for voter registration drives in malls and other public places where applicant submissions are skewed as recruiters would use the new language (like what is being proposed here) to steer unqualified people to vote. Recruiters should face the same penalties especially if there is a patern of signing as a witness. Gov. McAuliffe, do you really believe it is ok for non-citizens to have voting priveledges in this country? I know - you are just trying to make the form easier. That is your story and you are sticking to it. Nice try!
