This amendment will increase communication between the parents and the school. Parents have a right, and a duty, to know what their kids are reading and learning. There doesn't seem to be any downside to letting parents know what books are on the curriculum that the parents may find inappropriate. This amendment isn't banning any books, it's giving parents more information so they can decide what is in the best interest of their child. Other school districts have implemented this rule, so this is not a novel concept. I applaud and support the amendment.
