REJECT! I am a parent of two LCPS students and have been an LCPS teacher for almost 20 years. This is far too subjective. What one parent or teacher considers "sensitive" or "explicit" could be perfectly acceptable to another. The answer to protecting kids is for parents to be parents. I need to talk to my child and ask about what he/she is reading, whether it is a choice book or a class novel. It is not my child's teacher's job to determine when I need to be an involved parent.
