I do support the amendment where parents are notified of explicit and violent material in the curriculum.  A parent may know conditions in which a child may not be able to handle such material.  At the same time, I really question why a teacher is having students read such material.  We are having such a problem with what our children are being exposed to and how they are handling it.  Does this type of reading material feed into any type of violent behavior?  It is something to consider.
