Parents should be notified if their child is reading offensive material and allowed to opt out of it

Parents should be notified if their child is required to read something that is sexually-explicit.  The child should also be allowed to opt out of the book or movie and be allowed to read a different and acceptable book.  Uplifting and character building books should be given not destructive or offensive ones.  Thanks for your time.
