Yes to assuring statewide consistency among school divisions for opt-out and alternative choices for objectionable materials.
NO to the vague language that makes teachers (instead of parents and students) responsible for determining what might be "sensitive" and objectionable to a given family.
As long as opt out/alternative choices are recognized and publicized in every VA school system, individual concerns are best addressed by students and parents together with the teachers. Teachers provide curriculum & assigned titles online; students and parents already have the responsibility to use this information to make informed family decisions.
