Can we just "teach" please?
Can we just "teach" please?
This is the kind of stuff we read about in books such as Fahrenheit 451 and 1984 where the government decides what information or texts should be read. This amendment should NOT be passed. If this bill is passed yet another educational/professional decision will be taking out of a teachers hand. We are the ones who hold the degrees, been trained and work with the students on a daily basis. We are the ones who can make the BEST decisions for the learning that takes place and needs to take place in their classrooms. We SHOULD be the ones making the decisions. This is public education!
The passing of this amendment will create more problems that can be avoided!
