We only have so much air

The earth has only so much air. We aren’t getting any more. Why make what we have dirtier with diesel generators? Why aren’t we investing in solar and wind energy to power these data centers? Or store the natural energy in batteries for emergencies? No one is thinking out of the box or given the incentives to do so? Could it be greed?
