I am in full favor of removing Objective Written Documentation. As a live-in caregiver, I have firsthand experience with the challenges of finding external care. We’ve endured the frustration of attendants who don’t show up, leave early, or neglect their duties. This constant battle to secure adequate care leaves us with no choice but to take on the responsibility ourselves. Like any family, we want our loved ones to receive the best care possible. When external solutions fail, we provide it ourselves. The requirement for Objective Written Documentation is an unnecessary obstacle that punishes live-in caregivers for stepping in when others fail. It should be eliminated.
