Governor Youngkin, I truly believe that you and your party are an existential threat to humanity, whether intentional or not. We have precious little time to address the climate crisis. We have lost decades in our fight to stop climate change because of denialism on both sides of the aisle, yet the Republican Party has been especially friendly to the fossil fuel industry.

What is your end goal here? Do you want your children, your grandchildren to have a future? Stop standing in the way of the solutions. If we can’t even get a simple measure like the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative past Republican obstructionism, we are doomed to a future of unimaginable suffering.
