Goals of Regulation |
To protect public health and/or welfare with the least possible costs and intrusiveness to the citizens and businesses of the Commonwealth. To establish general procedures and requirements for the issuance of Virginia Water Protection permits for activities that cause a discharge to surface waters and for which a federal Section 401 permit is required in order to effectuate the proper and comprehensive protection of such waters. |
