Description Provides for the control of discharges of nutrients from point source discharges affecting waters that have been designated "nutrient enriched waters" in the Water Quality Standards (9 VAC 25-260-5 et seq.).

Goals of Regulation To protect public health and/or welfare with the least possible costs and intrusiveness to the citizens and businesses of the Commonwealth.

To decrease or have no significant increase in the quantity of nuisance algae or aquatic plants found in waters designated nutrient enriched.
