I have personally witnessed a decline in menhaden numbers over the last 30 years of my time on the Chesapeake Bay, it’s blatantly obvious. How can you remove half a billion fish from the bay year after year and expect it to be sustainable? Other states have banned Menhaden reduction fishing within state waters and their fisheries rebounded with tremendous growth. If the Menhaden numbers are so healthy, then let Omega fish all they want outside the 3 mile line.
