Faith-based agencies do an excellent job of placing children in foster and adoptive homes. They must not be placed under restrictive ordinances which would cause them to either violate their consciences or become ineffective and unable to continue the work they do. For those who do not fit the moral codes of these organizations, they need to look elsewhere if they want to do foster care or adopt. If such restrictive regulations are imposed upon these faith-based organizations, it will only serve to seriously impair the foster care/adoption program within the state, thereby creating greater hardship on the children who need to find a home.
