EVV is a disaster, and there are too many issues to list. (first red flag, EOR Manual doesn't mention EVV?!)
Here are a few -
APP does not work correctly; gets stuck often, sometimes causing late sign-in or sign-out
If late signing out, system will delete whole shift
Every "update", have to get CDCN to unregister so you can re-register (IT folks know - this is not an "update")
HIPPA violation possible
Targeting and discrimination against disabled community (tracking, threatening loss of life-dependent services, etc.)
PRIVACY violation likely
GPS proves NOTHING
The bottom line is the APPs seem to have been thrown out there to meet a deadline. They are not ready for production, as shown by their lack of performance; which raises a huge cybersecurity concern. (I have a whole host of questions related to cybersecurity).
Virginia needs to do the right thing, and exempt live-in
We are saving the state MILLIONS by keeping our loved ones home, and trust me when I say, it is not so I can commit fraud and get an extra $12 from the state.
We have a proven 27 year record of doing the right thing. We watch our son 24/7, and only get a few handfuls of hours paid to caregivers. While we appreciate what we have, it is insulting and infuriating that the Commonwealth of Virginia is targeting the disabled community.
