To whom it may concern,
It is my sincere hope that the Board will keep in mind the ruling of the Supreme Court on Monday, June 27, striking down the TRAP laws in Texas, as you deliberate over regulating abortion clinics here in the Commonwealth. The United States Supreme Court has decisively ruled that sham restrictions on a woman's ability to access safe, legal abortion are presumptively invalid. Accordingly, the Board cannot promulgate regulations that have no actual health benefit to women, or regulations that are more burdensome to a woman's ability to access abortion than they are beneficial to a woman's health and safety.
Legal abortion is safer than getting a root canal, and yet dentists are not required to meet hospital standards.
All my best,
Elizabeth Amy Miller
