Please DO NOT enact this legislation against current women’s centers. These standalone clinics participate in Medicaid and offer a VARIETY of services- not just abortions- to Virginia women. Many of these women do not have access to private Ob/Gyn services due to a lack of participation in Medicaid by many of those private physicians. These clinics are an excellent example of providing care in a low cost setting. n these clinics have to close, these women will seek primary care and prescriptions in their local ER, and it will cost Virginians millions in additional Medicaid dollars and most importantly, at no increase in the quality or outcome of care.
