My position is that this is just MORE REGULATION. This is the government adding yet another layer of regulation...we already have the code and regs that clearly state the compliance requirements. We already have compliance agent enforcement...the purpose being to ensure compliance. What is DCJS going to do with hundreds of self-audits...more burden on the department that currently faces enormous challenges regulating us now. This requirement will just make government bigger...it only further intrudes into our businesses and places a greater burden on all private security services businesses. I believe this proposed new regulation is entirely unnecessary and redundant when there other measures and safeguards already in place to ensure compliance. Additionally, the timing is not good as we are now facing the suspension of ROCS and the inability to handle licensing and registrations electronically.
