Support for Implementation of Pharmacist Provider Status

Hello:

On behalf of the Virginia Pharmacy Association Government Affairs Committee, I am writing to express our support for the proposed regulations. I am a board-certified psychiatric pharmacist and registered pharmacist in the state of Virginia.

The “Pharmacists as Providers Supplement” provides useful information. We would like clarification regarding when telehealth services will be eligible for payment.

The edits to the “Provider Manual Title: Pharmacy, Chapter IV: Covered Services and Limitations” are straightforward and we have no objections.

We appreciate the opportunity to offer comment regarding these proposed regulations.

Sincerely,

Joseph Cusimano, PharmD, BCPP
