Virtual Service Facilitation

Hello -

I am deeply concerned about the requirement for Medicaid waiver Service Facilitation visits to be in-person as opposed to virtual.  This service is done effectively and efficiently virtually and should be considered an option for families of loved ones with waivers as well as other Medicaid-related plans.  So many recipients and/or family members are at risk for severe infection(s) if exposed to COVID, the Flu, or other communicable illnesses; it should be left up to a family to decide what is best for themselves/families.  Additionally, many Service Facilitators are at risk or have a family member at risk for severe infection if exposed to an illness.  Service Facilitators will be going into many individuals' homes daily, and with that comes an increased risk for the spread of infection(s).  Please consider keeping waiver service facilitation virtual for everyone involved.
