Protect consumer choice by allowing telehealth visits upon request

Consumer choice is a fundamental value of case management services.  It is important that consumers have the option to receive services in the delivery method that makes them feel safest and most comfortable.  We serve a medically fragile population.  When they have Waiver services, they are required to receive case management.  It is not fair or reasonable to require that we enter their homes if they clearly express a preference for telehealth.  We advocate that DMAS and DBHDS allow the ongoing option for remote service delivery when this is the clearly expressed and documented preference of the client or substitute decision maker.
